Jordan Allen, Strategic Advisor, Garrington Capital, US
Jordan Allen joined Garrington’s equipment and real estate finance joint venture partner, Align Business Finance, in 2018 and has served on their Board since inception in 2014. He currently oversees Garrington’s US business and is a member of all of the firm’s Investment Committees.
Jordan is an asset management and financial services executive with more than 20 years of experience. Prior to joining Align, he was a Partner and Chief Operating Officer of Victory Park Capital, a financial services-focused private equity and private debt firm from 2013 to 2018. Before joining Victory Park, he was in the hedge fund industry from 2002 to 2012, including as Co-Head and Chief Operating Officer for Man Investments (USA), the multi-national asset manager. Jordan is currently a member of the board of directors of Prove Partners LLC, a Nevada-based healthcare finance company and previously served on boards and advised several other financial services businesses.
Jordan graduated from Northwestern University Law School and received his undergraduate degree from the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign with a Bachelor of Science, Accounting. He currently holds a JD and CPA designations.
Tammy Kemp, Chief Credit Officer
Tammy Kemp joined the Garrington Group of Companies in 2016. As Chief Credit Officer, Tammy is responsible for the overall credit and risk strategy within the overall group. She and her team are responsible for all aspects of portfolio management. Ms. Kemp is a member of all of the firm’s Investment Committees.
With more than 25 years of experience in trade finance, asset-based lending, specialty finance and distressed lending in mid-market commercial lending throughout North America. Working exclusively for entrepreneurial alternative lenders, Tammy has strategically grown portfolios by focusing on curated client centric service balanced with robust risk management delivered by empowered and effective teams. Tammy has led client restructurings, underwritten and managed large debtor-in-possession financings both in Canada and the US.
Tammy has held various board positions within industry organizations including SFNet (Education Committee), IWIRC (Director) and SFNet Canada (Vice President).
Toreigh Stuart, Strategic Advisor
Toreigh Stuart joined Garrington as a Strategic Advisor in March 2021. His relationship with Garrington started through its primary capital provider, Next Edge Capital, where he had helped build out their Private Debt Fund. At Garrington, Toreigh is primarily responsible for sourcing, evaluating and executing investment opportunities, while serving in an oversight capacity on behalf of Next Edge. Toreigh is a member of all of the firm’s Investment Committees.
Prior to joining Garrington, Toreigh has held a senior role as the Chief Executive Officer at each of Next Edge (2014-2021), Man Investments Canada Corp. (2006-2014) and BluMont Capital Corp. (2000-2006). In 2015, through the launch of the Next Edge Private Debt Fund, his principal responsibility had been to originate, manage risk and grow a portfolio of private loans on behalf of the Fund.
Toreigh earned his Bachelor of Arts degree in Economics from the University of Toronto. He holds the Chartered Financial Analyst and Chartered Alternative Investment Analyst designations.
Robert Thompson-So, Chief Strategy Officer
Robert Thompson-So currently serves as Chief Strategy Officer at Garrington Group of Companies. In addition to his leadership duties as a part of the Garrington leadership team, Robert also serves as President of Garrington Financial Services, President of Liquid Capital Enterprises and serves in various officer and director capacities at a number of Garrington related entities. His main roles include sourcing, evaluating and executing transactions for the trade finance group as well as the development and structuring of new markets and strategic partnerships for Garrington.
Robert has been active in the investment industry since 1994 and, more specifically, in the trade finance and asset-based lending industry since 2006 with a deep experience in capital markets, alternative investments, corporate finance and restructuring.
Robert has earned various designations including the Chartered Investment Manager (CIM) and was a Fellow of the Canadian Securities Institute (FCSI) during his career in the investment industry.
Richard Coles, General Counsel
Richard (Rick) Coles joined Garrington Group of Companies as General Counsel upon Liquid Capital’s acquisition of TCE Capital in 2016. As such, he is actively involved in most aspects of Garrington’s business operations but especially its asset-based financing program. Rick is a member of all of the firm’s Investment Committees.
Prior to joining Garrington, Rick had been actively engaged in TCE Capital’s business and affairs for over 20 years, first as part of his private law practice and since 2012 full time as an executive and its in- house general legal counsel. In his general commercial law practice, he advised clients ranging from small to medium sized businesses, and their owners, to national enterprises. Rick also had an earlier career in banking and equipment financing.
Rick is a member of the Law Society of Ontario and the Ontario Bar Association (OBA). He has an LL. B from Western University and an Hons. BA and MBA from University of Toronto.
Melissa Huot, Chief Operating Officer
Melissa Huot joined the Garrington Group of Companies in 2017. In her current role as the Chief Operating Officer of the Garrington Group, her main responsibilities include the oversight of the Finance and Accounting department as well as IT, Business Intelligence and Human Resources.
Prior to joining Garrington, Melissa’s time was spent primarily in Finance management positions at large public companies such as Wolseley Canada and Second Cup Coffee Co.
Melissa received her Bachelor Degree in Business from McGill University and holds her CPA, CMA designation.
Tom Affolter, Managing Director, Business Development
Tom Affolter is currently Managing Director, Portfolio Development at Garrington Capital.
Tom has over 20 years of debt and equity investment experience in a variety of roles. Tom was a partner at Victory Park Capital Advisors, and has served in various positions at CIT and GE Capital (separately via GE’s acquisitions of both Antares Capital and Heller Financial). Over his career, he has focused on middle market secured lending opportunities for leveraged buyouts, refinancings, recapitalizations and turnarounds in both private equity sponsored and non-sponsored transactions.
Tom has a BS in Accounting from Marquette University and an MBA from the Kellogg School of Management at Northwestern University.
Bob Colgan, Managing Director, Business Development
Bob Colgan came to the Garrington via his factoring franchise in 2011. He currently works as a Loan Originator in our ABL, specialty and equipment finance groups.
Bob has worked in various positions within the Private Debt lending space for the past three decades. Previously, Bob worked on Wall Street, primarily with Jefferies & Company, in equity capital markets roles, and has become very creative in business development and execution. Bob’s experience with underdog type firms, ingrained the drive that getting the deal done is paramount and Bob brings that focus to his current business.
Bob has a B.S. degree in Finance from the Leeds School of Business at the University of Colorado.
James Franz, Senior Advisor, Business Development
Jamie Franz joined Garrington in 2018 as Senior Advisor. His main role at Garrington is to help build and advise on the asset-based lending business.
Jamie has over three decades of experience in investment management, sales management and loan origination for both commercial and consumer banking, asset-based lending and factoring. Prior to joining Garrington, Jamie was a Managing Director at Ares Management, a $121 billion fund manager based in New York. He was a Regional Manager responsible for the Northeast, Midwest and Canada for Ares Commercial Finance, an asset-based lending fund. James sat on both the Management Committee and the Investment Committee and helped grow the fund from $150 million to over $1 billion in less than 4 years.
Jamie earned a Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting from St. Bonaventure University.
John Levac, Senior Advisor, Business Development
John Levac has been an Advisor to the Garrington for over 5 years. John is primarily responsible for sourcing, evaluating and executing investment opportunities.
His combined 30 plus years of experience in the Senior secured leverage markets has been a strategic advantage in growing the Garrington loan portfolio. Prior to joining Garrington, John spent 5 years in senior roles at RBC Capital Markets, Wells Fargo Foothill and Gordon Brothers. John has an extensive 30-year background in corporate finance, which includes Capital Markets, asset-based lending, distressed debt/CCAA restructuring, real estate, equipment and leasing.
John has an Honours Bachelor of Commerce in Corporate Finance and Accounting and has completed his Canadian Securities Course (CSC).
Sam Tork, Managing Director, Business Development
Sam Tork is Managing Director for Garrington and is primarily responsible for origination efforts throughout the United States. He takes great care in building trust with clients and prospects by working closely with referral sources in re-capitalizing their respective businesses.
Sam has spent the previous 20+ years in the commercial banking and asset-based lending industry, with the most recent fifteen years in executive management. His extensive background in corporate finance includes capital markets, asset-based lending, distressed debt/CCAA restructuring, real estate, equipment and leasing.
Sam has a Bachelor’s Degree in Corporate Finance from the University of Alabama and an MBA from Texas Christian University.

Robinson Manson, Senior Vice President, Business Development
Robinson Manson joined Garrington in 2018. In his role of Senior Vice President for Atlantic Canada, Robinson is responsible for loan origination and initial credit review of alternative loans including asset-based loans, receivable financing, and lender finance.
Prior to joining Garrington, Robinson worked on international equity and derivatives desks. Robinson’s most recent position was as the Regional Vice President of a $3 billion Toronto based hedge fund company that specialized in private debt. He has also worked with a regional institutional fixed income dealer where he worked his way to Managing Partner.
Robinson attended Dalhousie University where he graduated with a BSc degree.
Jaclyn Richard, Vice-President, Business Development
Jaclyn Richard joined Garrington in 2021 and is Vice President, Portfolio Development. Jaclyn is primarily responsible for origination efforts throughout Canada.
Jaclyn has over 14 years of experience championing extraordinary customer experiences for corporate and start-up, alongside nine years selling traditional and niche investments across Western Canada. Relationship building is at the forefront of her career.
Previously, Jaclyn was a Director for a start-up success story in Western Canada, successfully seeing the company from start-up phase to acquisition.
Richard Goode, Senior Advisor, Business Development
Rich joined Garrington as a Strategic Advisor in March 2021. His relationship with Garrington started through its primary capital provider, Next Edge Capital, where he is an Executive Vice President, focusing on Sales and Marketing within the Canadian retail financial advisory and family office channels. With Garrington, Rich is primarily responsible for sourcing, evaluating and executing investment opportunities.
Prior to joining Next Edge Capital, Rich was Managing Director and Head of Sales at Ninepoint Partners/Sprott Asset Management, a leading independent asset manager. During his 6 years with Ninepoint Partners/Sprott Asset Management, he led a team of over 25 sales and marketing professionals, assisting in the raising of over $3 billion in alternative investments by working with Canadian retail Financial Advisors to position complex alternative investment strategies within their clients’ portfolios. Rich began his financial career at BluMont Capital Corp. in 2000, culminating in his appointment as National Sales Manager in 2006, a position which he held until 2013.
Richard holds a Bachelor of Arts degree from the University of Windsor.
Bert Crossin, Head, ABL Underwriting
Bert Crossin joined Garrington in 2020 as Head, ABL Underwriting. In his role, Bert leads our asset-based lending underwriting efforts including credit & risk oversight. He and his team provide support to our origination teams across both Canada and the United States. Bert is a member of an Investment Committee of the firm.
Active in the mid-market commercial lending sector for more than 20 years with a primary focus on asset-based lending, Bert’s experience includes both conventional and alternative / non-traditional lending along with distressed or restructuring activities. Prior to joining Garrington, Bert held Underwriting and Portfolio Management responsibilities with two non-Bank alternative ABL providers servicing the North American market. Past experience includes Underwriting, Portfolio and Sales orientated positions with Wells Fargo, Royal Bank and other large Canadian institutions.
Bert earned a Bachelor of Commerce degree from Dalhousie University with honors in Finance.
Kartick Patel, Head, ABL Finance Operations
Kartick Patel joined Garrington in 2020 and his current role is Head, ABL Finance Operations. Kartick is responsible for managing client relationships, portfolio risk mitigation, approving advance requests, on-boarding new clients, and mentoring the team of Collateral Analysts.
Prior to joining Garrington, Kartick has gained over 20 years of asset-based lending experience in various functions including field exam, underwriting, portfolio management, credit reporting etc.
Kartick received an MBA in Finance and Management from Crummer Graduate School of Business in Orlando, Florida.
Carol Laberge, Senior Manager, ABL
Carol Laberge joined Garrington in 2017 as Senior Manager, ABL. In her role, Carol is responsible for collateral analysis for the asset-based and speciality finance portfolios.
Prior to joining Garrington, Carol spent 16 years at Accord Financial Inc. in the factoring industry. In her time there she was responsible for many different jobs ranging from data entry to collections and account management.
Jeffrey Lahay, Credit Manager, Trade Finance
Jeffrey (Jeff) Lahay joined Garrington in 2020 and is the Credit Manager, Trade Finance. He is responsible for credit risk management and portfolio risk management. Jeff is also involved in numerous projects within Garrington, focused on sales, operations, workflow/systems, and audit/compliance.
Previously, Jeff served as the Credit Manager for Accutrac Capital for almost 10 years, where he specialized in credit risk management, portfolio risk management, collections, audit/compliance, operations, client relations, account management, and workflow/systems.
Jeff received an Honours Bachelor of Commerce (H.B.Com) degree from Laurentian University. He is a Certified Credit Professional (CCP) with the Credit Institute of Canada.
Matthew Watt, Senior Underwriter, ABL
Matthew Watt joined Garrington in 2020 in his current role as a Senior Underwriter. Matthew is responsible for the due diligence and financial analysis of potential new clients to the portfolio.
Prior to joining Garrington, Matthew worked for 3 years in the alternative lending industry as an underwriter, relationship manager, and account manager for Far West Capital. He managed a portfolio of 30+ clients through their daily cash flow needs while also managing the risk associated with those clients. As an account manager at Far West Capital, he specialized in the high risk, workout clients, which has helped him in his current role as an underwriter. Before jumping into the alternative lending industry, Matthew worked for 8 years as a high school world history teacher and a head girls soccer coach.
Matthew received his general MBA from Texas State University and his BA in History from Texas A&M University.
Dan Bhosekar, Head, Specialty Finance Operations
Dan Bhosekar joined Garrington in 2021 as Head of Specialty Finance Operations, focusing on the larger and more complex deals in the Garrington portfolio.
Prior to joining Garrington, Dan has spent the past 20 years in the areas of asset appraisals, asset-based lending operations, accounting, and taxation.
Dan completed his Master of Commerce Degree from Mumbai University (India) with a major in Advanced Accountancy with Cost and Management Accounting and holds CPA, CGA designation along with CMA (USA), CIA (USA) and CMA (India) designations.
Karol Guerrero, Head, Factoring Underwriting
Karol Guerrero joined Garrington in 2019 as Head, Factoring Underwriting. In her current role, Karol is responsible for overseeing the Factoring Underwriting department.
Prior to joining Garrington, Karol spent 8 years with Far West Capital as Vice President and Underwriting Manager. Karol has also served as Portfolio Manager and Staff Accountant for Bibby Financial from 2007 to 2011, and Operations Director and Financial Controller for Comresco Capital from 1990 to 2007. With over three decades of experience in the Factoring industry and past experience in Credit and Underwriting, Operations, Finance, and Account Management, Karol plays an integral role within the Garrington Group of Companies.
Karol earned a Bachelor’s Degree in Business from Dallas Baptist University.
Michael Lukjanczuk, Managing Director, Finance
Michael Lukjanczuk serves as Managing Director, Finance of Garrington Capital. Michael’s main responsibilities include overseeing the Finance and Accounting functions.
Over the last 15 years, Michael has significant experience working with large public and private companies including public practice in Assurance & Advisory with Deloitte & Touché LLP. He has held progressively senior finance management roles at various leading companies including TJX Canada, Second Cup Coffee Ltd. and the Canada Revenue Agency.
Michael graduated from the University of Toronto with a Bachelor of Commerce specializing in commerce, finance and accounting with a minor in economics. Michael obtained his Chartered Accountant designation in 2010 while articling at Deloitte & Touché LLP and has taught Accounting at the University of Toronto.
Jaymini Patel, Corporate Controller
Jaymini Patel joined Garrington in 2021 as a Corporate Controller. Jaymini’s main responsibility includes leading the preparation and review of the consolidated financial statements. She also leads the financial internal control process across the organization including developing and implementing policies and procedures to ensure proper accounting and controls of financial information.
Prior to joining Garrington, Jaymini worked at PricewaterhouseCoopers (PwC) in the Audit & Assurance, Financial Services for just over five years where some of her big jobs included leading audits of public companies with revenues greater than $4.5 Billion.
Jaymini has received a BA Degree in Business Administration with a specialization in Accounting from Western University and currently holds her CPA, CA designation.
Scott Dominey, Accountant
Scott Dominey joined Garrington in 2017 in his role of Accountant. In this role, Scott is responsible for general accounting and consolidated financial reporting for the Garrington group of companies.
Prior to joining Garrington, Scott has spent 10+ years working in hospitality management.
Scott earned a diploma in Accounting from Trios College and is currently pursuing his CPA designation.
Fizza Hussain, Accountant
Fizza Hussain joined the Garrington in 2018. In her current role as an Accountant, Fizza is responsible for day-to-day accounting functions, including bank reconciliation and monthly accounting.
Prior to joining Garrington, Fizza was a Supervisor at Shoppers Drug Mart, where she was managing the customer service functions at her location, as well as overseeing the team working storefront. She has also worked as a Cash Application Specialist at Garrington before assuming her current role, in which she was responsible for the daily operations and cash application.
Fizza has received her Bachelors of Commerce degree specializing in Accounting from York University, and is currently pursuing her CPA Designation.
Maha Hussain, Associate
Maha Hussain joined Garrington in 2019 and her role is Treasury Analyst. In her role, Maha is responsible for day-to-day operations.
Prior to joining Garrington, Maha was working on her Bachelor’s Degree and has spent 5 years working in the customer service industry.
Maha has a Bachelor’s Degree in Bachelors of Science, with a double major in Biology and Psychology from University of Toronto.
Megan Hodgins, Accountant
Megan Hodgins joined the Garrington in 2018. In her current role as an Accountant, Megan is responsible for accounts payable and payroll administration for the group of companies.
Prior to joining Garrington, Megan was a Pastry Chef in Toronto’s financial district, where she baked for large events and small dinners alike.
Megan has a Business Diploma in Human Resources from George Brown College, as well as an Associate’s Degree in Culinary Arts from the Texas Culinary Academy.
Julius Queypo, Associate
Julius Queypo has joined Garrington in 2019 and his current role is a Data Entry Supervisor. Julius is responsible for the review and approval of bank account set-ups and banking changes as well as the release of funds from the bank.
Prior to joining Garrington, Julius was an International Foreign Worker in Riyadh Saudi Arabia, where he had worked with Asset Management Mutual Fund and Portfolio Managers.
Julius has completed a post-secondary program in Business at Centennial College in 2019.
Margarita Burdasova, Relationship Manager
Margarita Burdasova joined Garrington in 2018 and her current role is Relationship Manager. Margarita works closely with the Liquid Capital franchisees, clients and various teams across the construct to provide support & analysis, and assist in decision-making that affects Clients’ Account, Principals’ portfolio, and operations.
Prior to joining Garrington, Margarita spent 2 years working in accounting.
Margarita received a Bachelor’s Degree in Financial and Business Economics from York University, and holds Canadian Securities Certification at CSI.
Christine Cooke, Associate
Christine Cooke joined Garrington in 2003 and her current role is an Account Manager/Cash Application Specialist. Christine is responsible for the cash posting and balancing of incoming payments, as well as processing Funding Requests and monitoring Client Accounts.
Prior to joining the Cash Application / Account Manager team, Christine worked with our Executive team, planning, and coordinating our Annual Conferences. Christine also worked in our Legal Department, updating our FDD and signing up new Franchisee’s for over a decade where she gained an immense amount of knowledge in Franchise Law and Compliance.
Christine has earned a Business Law certificate from Humber College.
Carrie Duppong, Associate
Carrie Duppong joined Garrington in 2021. Her current role is an Account Manager, in which she is responsible for the day-to-day factoring operations.
Prior to joining Garrington, Carrie has worked within the factoring industry at Quality Numbers & More since 2019. Carrie has also been an EMR for the Glen Ullin Ambulance since 2016.
Ramona Etwaroo, Director, Trade Finance Operations
Ramona Etwaroo joined Garrington upon Liquid Capital’s acquisition of TCE Capital in 2016. Her current role is Director, Trade Finance Operations. Ramona and her team are primarily responsible for dealing with the day-to-day operations and monitoring of the factoring and trade finance portfolio.
Prior to joining Garrington, Ramona has spent over two decades in the factoring and financial services industry.
Ramona completed her Deplôme d’études professionnelles (D.E.P.) in Accounting and Secretarial program.
Khalil Fijabi, Associate
Khalil Fijabi joined Garrington in 2019 and is an Account Manager. He is responsible for the day-to-day factoring operations.
Prior to joining Garrington, Khalil was an Account Management Associate II / TOA Receives Associate Analyst III at Fidelity Investment in Dublin Ireland, focusing on account maintenance and transfers.
Khalil received a Bachelor’s Degree in Business Management from Dublin Business School in Dublin, Ireland.
Sadie Griffiths, Associate
Sadie Griffiths joined Garrington in 2020 and is currently an Account Manager. In her role, Sadie is responsible for the day-to-day factoring operations.
Prior to joining Garrington, Sadie was a Member Service Representative/ Acting Supervisor at JN Bank Limited in Kingston, Jamaica.
Sadie received a Bachelor of Science degree in Banking and Finance from the University of the West Indies, Jamaica.
Clementina Francisco, Director, Business Intelligence
Clementina Francisco joined Garrington in 2015. Her current role is Director, Business Intelligence. Clementina is responsible for the evolution of the enterprise Business Intelligence function, for leading the development of process automation, architectures, and technologies to transform raw data into meaningful insights used to enable more effective data driven decisions.
Clementina has over 4 years of experience leveraging emerging technology to simplify business processes, standardizing reporting and ensuring proper data governance and controls are in place to strengthen data quality across the company.
Clementina has earned a Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering from the Simón Bolívar University, holds an Applied Data Science certificate from Columbia Engineering, and is currently pursuing her AWS Solutions Architect Certification.
Barnett Gordon, Director, Compliance
Barnett Gordon co-founded Liquid Capital in 1999. He was responsible for the execution of strategic initiatives and oversaw finance, accounting, tax and fund operations. In 2019, Barnett became a Managing Director, Compliance at Liquid Capital Enterprises Corp. and is responsible for monitoring compliance of Franchisees.
Prior to joining Garrington, Barnett co-founded Peak Equity Corp.; a company that managed and rehabilitated commercial properties.
Laikyn Nilsen, Associate
LaiKyn Nilsen joined Garrington in 2021 and her current role is an Account Manager. LaiKyn, alongside her team, is responsible in communicating with clients to ensure their needs are addressed, building relationships to maintain business and acquire new clients, working alongside with numerous internal departments, and ensuring all clients’ requests are met in order to improve their experience.
Prior to joining Garrington, LaiKyn has worked within the factoring industry at Quality Numbers & More since 2017. LaiKyn comes to Garrington with over 8+ years of experience in the financial services industry, including technology & telecommunications, healthcare, and oil & gas industry.
Megan Hodgins, Associate
Megan Hodgins joined the Garrington in 2018. In her current role as an Accountant, Megan is responsible for accounts payable and payroll administration for the group of companies.
Prior to joining Garrington, Megan was a Pastry Chef in Toronto’s financial district, where she baked for large events and small dinners alike.
Megan has a Business Diploma in Human Resources from George Brown College, as well as an Associate’s Degree in Culinary Arts from the Texas Culinary Academy.
Renata Marinzeck, Associate
Renata Marinzeck joined Garrington in 2019. Her current position is an Office Manager. Renata is responsible for smooth and efficient office operations, providing assistance to the IT & HR departments and Senior Management. In addition, she is involved in project management.
Prior to joining Garrington, Renata worked as Administrative Assistant for AMD and Johnson & Johnson, and as an Accounting Manager for Teltek Systems.
Renata completed her Master of Management in Accounting & Finance in 2018 at the University of Windsor. She also holds her Marketing and Business Administration degree.
Chasity Orcutt, Associate
Chasity Orcutt joined Garrington in 2021 as a Junior Account Manager and is responsible for the day-to-day Factoring operations.
Chasity actively serves as Vice President for the City Council in her community of Glen Ullin, and has held this position for over 3 years now. Chasity has a passion for people & business, and strives to do her best to help both succeed.
Gerry Parrillo, Associate
Gerry Parrillo joined the Garrington in October 2019. His current role is an A/R Management Specialist. Gerry is responsible for the day-to-day accounts receivables.
Prior to joining Garrington, Gerry was a Customer Accounts Agent with TD Auto Finance, where he specialized in managing delinquent accounts.
Gerry graduated from Lester B. Pearson Comprehensive School where he studied Business Finance.
Maria Reyes, Associate
Maria Reyes joined Garrington in March of 2017 as a Data Entry Analyst and is responsible for the day-to-day Factoring operations.
Prior to joining Garrington, Maria worked at LBJ Express in Farmers Branch, Tx as a Data Entry Interim Team Lead. Maria has over 5 years of experience as a Data Entry in the toll rate system.
Maria earned a Medical Assistant diploma from Remington College in 2007.
Neil Risso, Associate
Neil Risso joined Garrington in 2012. Neil is responsible for heading the collections team, and providing customer service & franchisee assistance.
Prior to joining Garrington, Neil was a Credit Officer & Collector at Tyfoon International for 12 years, where he specialized in collections, credit checks & cash applications.
Neil has received a BA in English Literature at Concordia University.
Vlad Rojko, Vice President, Operations
Vlad Rojko joined the Garrington in 2019 and is currently the Vice President of Operations. He and his team are primarily responsible for dealing with the day-to-day operations and monitoring of the factoring and trade finance portfolio, as well as providing advice on best practices for account and relationship management to clients and stakeholders of the organization.
Vlad comes to Garrington with over 20 years of experience in the financial services industry, with the last 10 years focused specifically on accounts receivable factoring and trade finance.
Vlad currently holds his CPA designation, and has previously held CMA, CFP designations. Vlad earned an undergraduate degree in financial planning and government budgeting.
Kasia Wojtowicz, Manager, Human Resources
Kasia Wojtowicz joined Garrington in 2018. Kasia’s current position is a Human Resources Manager and she is responsible for overseeing human resource and project management functions within the company.
Prior to commencing her current role, Kasia spent a year as a Treasury Analyst within the factoring operations, and has over 8 years of experience in the customer service industry.
Kasia received a Bachelor of Arts degree in Psychology from Ryerson University, as well as an Honours Diploma in Business Administration, Human Resources from George Brown College.
Roxane Walth, Associate
Roxane Walth joined Garrington in 2021 in her current role as an Account Manager. Roxane is responsible for managing the day-to-day client relationship, along with administering the clients’ portfolios, and assisting the team.
Prior to joining Garrington, Roxane spent 3 years as an Account Manager at Quality Numbers & More within the factoring industry. She was also a Deputy Auditor for the City of Hebron for 3 years, where she assisted the City Auditor with handling the city’s finances, payroll, billing out customers, and community concerns.
Guadalupe Sol, Manager, Information Technology
Guadalupe Sol serves as Manager, Information Technology for Garrington. With over three decades of experience in the IT industry and past experience in Systems and Network Administration, Applications Development and Operations, Data Management and Security, Project Management, and Technical Support, she plays an integral role within the Garrington Group of Companies. Lupe is primarily responsible for coordinating and leading the day-to-day IT operations and monitoring all systems and applications used by the organization as well as supporting development, testing and implementation of new technologies and mentoring other team members.
Prior to joining Garrington in 2019, she spent 13 years with Liquid Capital Corp. as an IT Support Specialist and as an IT Manager.
Nikita Silvestrov, Relationship Manager
Nikita Silvestrov joined Garrington in 2018 and his current role is Relationship Manager. In this role, he is focused on building strong long-term franchisee relationships, and provides support in growing their business.
Prior to joining Garrington, Nikita came from the Public Sphere, working at the Canada Revenue Agency.
Nikita received his Bachelor’s Degree in International Accounting and Finance from Seneca College.
Kayla Schumacher, Associate
Kayla Schumacher joined Garrington in 2021 as a Collection Specialist. She is responsible for collections, as well as processing fundings and assisting her team.
Prior to joining Garrington, she spent 3 years working at Quality Numbers in the factoring industry. Additionally, Kayla is an EMR on the Glen Ullin Ambulance, and has served as their squad leader since 2016.
Kayla earned an Associates Degree from Bismarck State College in Business Management in 2013.
Ana Alvarado, Administrative Manager
Ana Alvarado joined Garrington in 2017 as an Administrative Manager. In her role, Ms. Alvarado provides support and assistance to the underwriting staff. Her main responsibilities include data collection, due diligence and financial analysis related to the Factoring portfolio.
Prior to joining Garrington, Ana has 8 years of administrative experience.
Michael Shouldice Stewart, Legal Counsel
Michael Shouldice Stewart joined Garrington in 2021 as in-house Legal Counsel. Michael manages the legal affairs of the group of companies and provides creative advice on strategic structuring, as well as support with negotiation of all types of transactions.
Prior to joining Garrington, Michael gained extensive wide-ranging experience managing cross-border commercial transactions, regulatory compliance, cross-border acquisitions, as well as areas of corporate finance and securities laws leading private placements, convertible debt offerings, and both short and long form prospectus offerings. Michael is a personable and solutions-focused lawyer with private practice and unique in-house experience guiding a start-up company from inception to listing on the Toronto Stock Exchange.
Michael earned a Bachelor of Arts (Honours) Degree from the University of Waterloo in 2010, obtained his LLB (Second Class Honours Upper Division) from the University of Leicester in the United Kingdom in 2013, and was called to the Ontario Bar in 2015. Michael has also received the designation of Certified In-House Counsel – Canada (CIC.C).
Misako Carroll, Senior Underwriting Assistant
Misako Carroll joined Garrington in 2019 as a Senior Underwriting Assistant. As part of the factoring underwriting team, Misako is responsible for data collection, due diligence and financial analysis related to the Factoring portfolio. She also assists with internal client portfolio upkeep.
Prior to joining Garrington, Misako served as the Lead Client Service Specialist at First Corporate Solutions, Inc. She has over 18 years of account management experience in public services.
Adrienna Garza, Underwriter
Adrienna Garza joined Garrington in 2015 and is currently an Underwriter. Adrienna is responsible for analyzing collateral risk, due diligence reports, financials and preparing approval presentations for the in-house originators.
She has also served as an Office Administrator and Credit Analyst at Garrington before assuming her current role. Prior to joining Garrington, Adrienna provided customer referrals for new products and services daily within the banking industry.
Andreas Vithoulkas, Senior Underwriting Assistant
Andreas Vithoulkas joined Garrington in 2018 and his current role is Senior Underwriting Assistant. He is responsible for financial analysis related to underwriting and due diligence.
Andreas has over 15 years of experience in sales analytics and IT management.
He has a Bachelor Degree in Commerce from John Molson School of Business.
Sarah Center, Underwriter
Sarah Center is a Junior Underwriter who joined the Garrington in 2019. In her current role, Sarah works directly with originators and is responsible for assessing collateral risk, a comprehensive analysis of due diligence reports, financial analysis, preparing approval presentations and on-boarding approved deals.
Prior to joining Garrington, Sarah has gained 4 years of experience in factoring, where she held positions in operations, account management and portfolio management.
Janay Mays, Underwriter
Janay Mays has joined Garrington in 2018 as a Junior Underwriter. By using compassion, attention to detail, and strong analytical skills, Janay assists future clients with getting the financial assistance they need. Janay is responsible for analyzing and mitigating key risks of potential clients.
Prior to joining Garrington, Janay was a field examiner/financial analyst at Far West Capital, where she specialized in audits in the asset-based lending industry. Janay has also served an honorable 4-year term in the United States Navy.
Adrian Attisano, Relationship Manager
Adrian Attisano joined Garrington in 2018 and his current role is Relationship Manager. Adrian is responsible for the onboarding and on-going compliance related to the in-house portfolio.
Prior to joining Garrington, Adrian was an investment analyst at Opal Capital, where he worked to help source business investment opportunities.
Adrian has received an HBA from Ivey Business School.
Denielle Camins, Collateral Analyst
Denielle Camins has joined Garrington in 2021 as a Collateral Analyst. Denielle is responsible for reviewing, analyzing, and monitoring the borrower’s collateral information.
Prior to joining Garrington, Denielle was a Senior Analyst in an asset based lending company for over 3 years, where she refined her skills and professional experience as an analyst. Furthermore, she had about ten years of retail banking experience in one of the top player banks in Southeast Asia.
Denielle earned her Bachelor’s Degree in Commerce with a major in Management Accounting from the Ateneo de Davao University in 2006, as well as a Business Finance Diploma from Sheridan College in 2017.
Andrew Edelberg, Relationship Manager
Andrew Edelberg joined Garrington in 2019 and is currently a Relationship Manager. In his role, Andrew is responsible for managing the operations of his assigned clients’ credit facilities. This includes advance request approval, detailed collateral and financial analysis, and problem solving. Periodically he is called on to complete special situations underwriting and credit analysis.
Prior to joining Garrington, Andrew was an Institutional Credit Analyst at Scotia Wealth Management and Purpose Investments. He has also held positions as a Collateral Analyst and Underwriting Associate at Garrington.
Conner Kemp, Collateral Analyst
Conner joined Garrington in 2020 and his current role is Collateral Analyst. Conner is responsible for financial reporting documentation and analysis for the asset-based and speciality finance portfolios.
Conner completed his B.Econ. Honours with a Concentration in Mathematics and
Quantitative Economics from Carleton University.
